MeetVoice Privacy Policy
1. Overview
MeetVoice (the "App") is provided by xixikitchen (the "Developer"). Your recordings and data stay on your own computer. The Developer does not collect or receive any of your personal data or recordings.
2. Data stays on your Mac
Meeting recordings, transcripts, summaries, outlines, and the people, glossary terms, to-dos and study cards in your library are stored on your Mac. The Developer cannot see them. The App has no account system and uploads nothing to the Developer's servers.
3. Content sent to third-party providers you choose
Transcription, summaries, outlines and knowledge extraction are performed by third-party providers that you choose and configure yourself. The Developer does not operate or relay these services. When you use these features, the App sends the following directly from your computer to the provider you configured:
- audio segments (for transcription);
- transcript text with its time ranges and speaker labels (for summaries and outlines; intermediate drafts generated along the way are also sent back to the provider for consolidation);
- the meeting title and the generated summary text (for knowledge extraction);
- only when "使用资料库" (Use library) is turned on: the names, aliases, roles and organizations of people, and glossary terms. Transcription requests include only names, aliases and glossary terms; requests for summaries, outlines and knowledge extraction also include each person's role and organization.
This content is handled by that provider under its own privacy policy and terms; please read them before use. You can turn off "Use library" for a meeting so that people and glossary information is not sent with that meeting's requests.
4. Provider API keys
The provider API keys you enter are stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac. They are used only to make requests to the provider you chose and are never sent to the Developer.
5. Exported files
Files you export are saved where you choose and are managed by you.
6. Update checks (website download version only)
The version downloaded from this website uses Sparkle to check for updates: roughly every 24 hours, and whenever you check manually, the App requests the update feed (https://meetvoice.xixikitchen.ac.cn/appcast.xml) from this website. The website server therefore receives your IP address and standard request information, including the request time, the App version and the macOS version (in the User-Agent). The App does not enable Sparkle's system profile reporting and sends no additional hardware or system configuration. Server access logs are used only to operate the website (for example troubleshooting and abuse prevention), not for profiling or advertising, and are not shared with third parties.
The App Store version is updated by the App Store. It does not perform this update check and does not send such requests to this website.
7. Analytics and crash reports
The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-collection components. If the App crashes, a crash report is sent by macOS to Apple, and possibly passed on to the Developer, only if you have agreed to share analytics data in your system settings.
8. Your control
You can delete meetings, recordings and library items at any time inside the App. Doing so removes the corresponding data stored on your computer. For content already sent to a third-party provider, please contact that provider under its policies.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, this page will show an updated version number and effective date; after a version change the App will ask you to review and agree again on next launch.
